As someone working at the intersection of fintech and trading platforms, I’ve been tracking how new crypto-exchange infrastructures are creating opportunities for FX and crypto traders alike. Here are some thoughts:
- Many crypto exchange platforms are now designed with multi-asset order-matching engines, allowing both fiat/crypto and crypto/crypto trades in one place.
- For FX traders used to volume and liquidity, this means new avenues: smaller markets, tokenised assets, cross-chain trading.
- Startups are using ready-made frameworks like the Cryptocurrency Exchange Script to go live faster, which could shift where early liquidity pools appear.
- From a commercial-content perspective: if you’re an FX broker or liquidity provider, understanding how these exchange platforms embed FX-style functionality (spreads, execution, derivatives) could matter.
Would love to hear your views:
- Do you see crypto exchanges and FX brokers merging/trading in the same space in the near future?
- As an FX trader, would you consider moving part of your activity to a crypto exchange that offers FX-like features?
- What do you believe will be the biggest barrier: regulation, liquidity, or user-trust for these platforms?
Looking forward to your insights!
