Question About Self-Funded Search Investor Lists

I’m researching search fund models and trying to understand who is actively investing today. I’ve come across various blogs, databases, and community posts, but information feels fragmented and sometimes outdated.

I’m especially curious about how accurate and comprehensive this list of self-funded search investors really is, and whether people here have firsthand experience using it. Does it miss newer operators or international investors?

How often is it updated, and what criteria define “self-funded”? If you’ve used similar lists, which ones do you trust most, and why? Any insights, corrections, or recommendations would be hugely appreciated in advance everyone.

Just to clarify, are you referring to search fund investing where individuals raise capital to acquire and operate a business, or something closer to venture capital–style funding? I want to make sure I’m understanding the model you’re describing.
