What is a currency pair to avoid when trading in Forex?

Beginners should avoid exotic currency pairs like USD/TRY (Turkish Lira) or USD/ZAR (South African Rand).

Why should you avoid these pairs?
  • Low liquidity (harder to trade)
  • High spreads (more costly)
  • Very volatile and risky
It’s safer to trade major pairs like EUR/USD or USD/JPY.

Avoiding exotic pairs like USD/TRY and USD/ZAR makes sense due to their high volatility and low liquidity. Sticking to major pairs like EUR/USD or USD/JPY can provide more stable trading conditions for beginners. One of the advtanges is tiny or zero spread (like in HFM) so basically scalping on them is extremely cheap
