I do not use IoS and prefer working to use desktop platform for MT4, so although the app store banned MT4 or MT5 doesn't affect it, FXOpen now also creates an innovative trading platform namely TickTrader.

Depending on the the broker you use there are cTrader and Nina Trader as stand alone platforms. Some brokers have their own bespoke softwares as well. You also have web portals that many brokers embed which is also made by MetaQuotes so will look and feel like MT4 and MT5

Currently using acttrader with fxview and avatradego with avatrade - both have intuitive UI, lots of useful trading tools and minimum latency.

Why seek an alternative? There are ways around it. I have an iPhone, just started using web trader through my broker. You can also download MT4 onto your computer through your broker's website.
